Exploration of Symbol, Planets and Sun

Symbols are a regular part of our conversation at school. Each student has his or her own symbol (Bugs, Leaves, or Tracks) that identifies their work, cubby, journal, etc. This month, the calendar numbers feature the symbols of the sun and planets. The Tracks class documented their favorite symbol using permanent marker and then used tempera as the next layer.
