Fine Art Portraits

The collage self-portraits are the result of months of study, centering on math, science, and sense of self, our place in the world. These are now on display in the classroom and perfectly placed for a documentation session. Using permanent marker and watercolor, the children took their second look at their portraits.

    Love it!

    Do you ever ask them to talk about what they've done? I'd love to hear their comments after the portraits go on the wall.

      With this one not formally, but the works are titled which is its own kind of commentary, perhaps. Lots of really good titles! I was thinking of posting them for the next post. School year is almost over. What to do then?
